Hydra

Hydra and what if there was something in there that told you what it was, hydra? There was a discussion somewhere about how much data a computer's internet connection consumes, so when I looked it up, there was a hydra that consumed the most data.

My point is that with that kind of "hydra" you start to wonder what it is.

I know now, but if it said fsecure hyd etc., there would be no need to investigate and wonder.

The best way is to put these feature requests in the "feature request" queue, like in this case naming the protocol used by F-Secure VPN (win platform)

    Hello,

Alternatively (now, in case if it is impossible to use another name for executable), you can:

    • I am not sure where you looked at network consumption, but in Windows 10 Settings - Network & Internet - Data Usage, where hydra.exe name is displayed, when you hover over it, you should see the path to the executable file.
    • In Task Manager (as in screenshot), it is possible to rightclick hydra.exe - Properties. Where the path to the executable file is also visible.

as such it is a fairly quick investigation (this way). But, in general, I also understand what the problem is.

anyway, there were enough 'unclear' ones (even with this easy investigation way, because was not enough in those cases). Such as system's: AppHostRegistrationVerifier.exe, WaaSMedicAgent.exe, DeviceCensus.exe.

and, basically, depends on where you look at listing - even if it will be called f-securewhateverthing.exe (or F-Secure Whatever Thing) - without double checking what it actually is (like where it's placed or from where it's triggered) it could be anything. So, wondering is a bit of helpful there.
